Giving Gratitude

Yes, I know we are on the way out of May but I'm still getting back into life and missed quite some time. As many of you know I caught a virus in April. It put me out for over a month. I can't remember ever being that sick. It's still working out of my system but I am doing great now!

The question that has run through my mind over and over is how did I allow myself to get this virus? I take my supplements, but I'm not perfect with that. I try to eat fairly healthy, but I'm not perfect with that. I work out regularly, though I'm not perfect with that either. Though we try to do the right thing, often times life gets in the way and we get run down. It doesn't mean we stop trying, it just means to give ourselves a break and show some self love. Sit back and appreciate yourself on a regular basis. Thank your body for the breath it takes that you don't have to think about or your heart that pumps the blood through your system. We can forget that lifes miracles happen each and everyday. Did you wake up today? Give thanks. Do you have a roof over your head? A car to drive? Family and friends that surround you? Give thanks. There are endless things to give gratitude for in our lives though sometimes it can be hard to think of one. But I realize, if I just start with one thing, the next one appears and then another and as I keep giving thanks, the better I feel.

So I wanted to give thanks for all of you. My friends and family who mean so very much to me that my heart is full of love when I think about you. I appreciate you letting me into your lives with my little blog that I enjoy sharing and for being a part of my life!

OIL SPOTLIGHT

Serenity Restful Blend helps to calm and relax. I use this often in the evening to help me relax and sleep but it can be used when stressful feelings arise. This oil blend can help calm emotions and lesson feelings of tension.
Some of the oils in this blend are Lavender, Ylang Ylang, Marjoram, Hawaiian Sandalwood, Vanilla Bean and Roman Chamomile. You can apply this topically to your temples, wrists, bottoms of feet or along your neck line below your ear as well as in your diffuser. If you haven't tried Serenity I'd be happy to sample it for you!

Cool And Refreshing

With Summer around the corner I wanted to share our margarita recipe. This is my favorite margarita recipe! I like mine on the rocks with no salt but you can also blend if you prefer frozen and add a salt rim to your liking. It's simple to make and you can use what ever tequila you like.

San Diego vacation margarita!

1 Can Limeade
Tequila
Triple Sec
Water
Ice

Empty limeade into pitcher. Fill limeade can full with tequila. Add to pitcher. Then fill limeade can full with water. Add to pitcher. Fill limeade can half full with triple sec. Add to pitcher along with ice and stir. I then add enough margarita mixture for a glass to a shaker along with more ice, shake and pour into glass. Add a lime squeeze and you are ready to go. If I feel like a little extra, I will float some Grand Marnier over the top for a Golden Margarita! ENJOY.....

Gratitude Thoughts...

Researchers have pinpointed clear-cut ways that gratitude impacts our mind and spirit. It makes us feel happier. It improves our psychological health. It drives us to be more morally good. And it helps us fall back in love with the life we had, so that we can move forward and continue to cultivate the life we want. If you want to embrace these qualities and see these changes in your mindset, a habitual practice of gratitude is clearly where it’s at!

Some use a gratitude journal, others set a gratitude reminder on their phone throughout the day, whichever you choose don't wait. Start now giving gratitude for anything you can think of, especially when you are down, and you will see a change in your attitude, emotions and life!

Love and Light,

Elaine

Essential Oils and Your Pets

LIVE LIFE NATURALLY

With essentials oils becoming more a part of our daily lives the question has come up about their use on our pets. As with foods or medicines, there are essential oils we should keep away from our pets. I am going to focus on dogs and cats in this blog but will likely discuss other pets in the future. Like medicine, there are essential oils that work on some people and not others.  There are also foods that some people cannot have as well as plants that all people shouldn't ingest or use. The same is true for our pets.

Cats and dogs have different digestive systems than each other and humans. With our dog Cozmo, if we want to give a certain food I look it up. That's how I've discovered dogs should not eat grapes, onions or garlic, avocado, dairy products, chocolate and so on. Not that I would give him chocolate that just came up when I was looking for something else. Same for when we had our Bubba and Sam cats. They shouldn't have those items, and yes, cats shouldn't have any dairy either.

The same is going to be true for our essential oils that we love. Now I love my essential oils but would never do anything to hurt my Baby Coz. I'm going to list oils that are not good for dogs and for cats and those that are. These are not all, but I'm going to try to give all that I could find. If you are going to intentionally use them on your pet, ALL essential oils should be diluted with a carrier oil for animals and NOT taken internally. And as with children, keep them up and out of reach. Our sweet babies are curious and unknowing of what can hurt them.

To start, you should always look for pure therapeutic grade essential oils. If you stick with doTERRA you are good there. Many essential oils contain contaminates or adulterants that can make more serious issues arise. Do NOT put into ear canals which can damage their delicate ear drums and nerves. Of course, nothing near their eyes, genitals and not on their paws as they lick and use them for cleaning themselves.

Diffuser Benefits and Tips

LIVE LIFE NATURALLY

There are four basic types of essential oil diffusers each with it's own unique method for dispersing essential oils into the air to utilize their benefits. I'm going to use the doTerra explanations for each. I personally have four diffusers in my home at this time. They are all ultrasonic diffusers. There is one in each of our bedrooms and in the main living area of our home. I like the ultrasonic diffuser because it puts a fine mist into the air acting a little like a humidifier and with our dry desert climate, it's nice to add a little moisture into the air.  I LOVE my diffuser in my bedroom and use it nightly. Below I'll give some different recipes and my favorite nightly recipe to help me breathe clearly throughout the night.  I also have an evaporative diffuser in the car. (Like the one in the photo below.) I add a drop or two of whatever essential oil I'm in the mood for to the felt pad and it makes the car smell lovely.

Four Types of Diffusers

Nebulizing Diffusers

A nebulizing diffuser breaks down the essential oil into tiny particles through the use of a high velocity, pressurized air stream and jet nozzle. When the essential oil is released, it goes into the air in a fine mist. This method does not alter the chemical composition—it diffuses the entire oil at once so you don’t get the more volatile components first and then the heavier later. The particle size is small enough to be easily inhaled.

  • Pros: Nebulizers use no heat or water, yet disperse the entire oil into the air for optimal therapeutic benefits.

  • Cons: Nebulizers are often the most expensive diffusers to use and sometimes to buy. Because these diffusers use only essential oil, they often also use more oil.

Try the
Aroma-Ace Diffuser

Ultrasonic Diffusers

This popular type of diffuser uses water and electronic frequencies to create a fine mist from the essential oil and water. Ultrasonic vibrations are created by a small disk under the surface of the water which causes the essential oil to break up into tiny micro particles.
  • Pros: Ultrasonic models only use a small amount of essential oil, and no heat is used to generate the mist in an ultrasonic diffuser. This method also can act as both a diffuser and a humidifier, a helpful characteristic if you live in a dry place.

  • Cons: Only a small fraction of the mist is essential oil, and it depends on the air current already in the room to disperse the oil. May not want to add more water to the air if you live in a humid place.
doTERRA has a few main different ultrasonic diffusers. Give the Lotus, Petal, or Aroma Lite diffusers a try. The new Lumo diffuser was available November 1, 2017.

Heat Diffusers

As their name suggests, heat diffusers use heat elements to help the essential oil gradually evaporate into the air. Sometimes they may use the oil mixed with water. Some heat diffusers use very high levels of heat to cause a stronger aroma, however, the best heat diffusers will use a very low heat to avoid drastically changing the chemical constituents of the oils being diffused.
  • Pros: Diffusing using heat is an economical yet efficient and silent way to spread the aroma throughout the room.

  • Cons: The heat used can change the properties of the oil at the molecular level. This means that the therapeutic benefit of an oil may lessen or change entirely.
Evaporative diffusers

Evaporative diffusion is using air flow to spread the scent of the essential oils. A fan blows air through a filter, such as a tissue or a pad that has essential oils dropped onto it. The moving air causes the oil to evaporate quickly, and the air with the evaporated oil is blown into and around the room.

With this method, you will get the oil in segments; the lighter, more volatile components evaporate first, while the heavier components evaporate last.

  • Pros: Wind-blown diffusion can be a quiet way to quickly spread the oil’s aroma throughout the room.

  • Cons: It may not be as therapeutic of a method because all of the components of the whole oil are not diffused at the same time.

This is an example of an evaporative diffuser. This one clips onto the vent in your car. It opens so you can put in a different felt pad color and change essential oils.

** Quick tip** You can also use a cotton ball, put a few drops of your favorite essential oil and put in the vent and you'll get the same benefits.

You can use different recipes in your diffuser depending on how you want to feel. Going to bed you want something to relax you. Sitting at your desk you may want something to help with concentration. Or sometimes, you may just want to perk yourself up and feel energized.  Essential oils can help you do this naturally and without disrupting your endocrine system.

Your endocrine system is the network of glands that produce hormones that regulate metabolism, growth and development, tissue function, sleep, mood and sexual function among other functions in our body.

There are so many chemicals in products that can disrupt our endocrine system. A few to watch out for that are in our everyday life are perfumes, antibacterial soaps and fragrance in many of our household items. It's best to choose fragrance free, creams and lotions, cleaning products and laundry detergent. Get rid of those plug in air fresheners and use a diffuser to freshen and purify the air and you gain the benefits from whichever oil you choose.

Recipe Ideas

Calming (**My current favorite night time blend.)     Energizing

2 Drops Breathe                                                     2 Drops Peppermint
2 Drops Serenity                                                    3 Drops Lemon
2 Drops OnGuard                                                   4 Drops Tangerine
                                                                            3 Drops Frankincense

Calming                                                                       Concetration

3 Drops Frankincense                                             2 Drops Peppermint
3 Drops Bergamot                                                  3 Drops Lemon or Orange
3 Drops Lavender

I often diffuse OnGuard which is a proprietary blend doTerra makes. It's a protective blend and smells like Christmas. This is my go to when we have guests or if someone in the house isn't feeling 100%. I also like citrus such as Wild Orange, Lemon or Citrus Bliss. Everyone is different in their likes so just play with different oils and make up your own blends. Please share if you have a blend you love.

Cleaning

One last thing on diffusers is cleaning them. I use the ultrasonic so this is for those. For a light cleaning I will unplug, empty, rise out, and wipe with a soft cloth. For a deeper clean you can rinse and fill with clean water. Add about 10 drops of white vinegar and let run for 3-5 minutes. Drain. If needed, you can dip a cotton ball in vinegar and wipe around the edges. Rinse with clean water and wipe with a soft cloth.

Love and Light,

Elaine

Energy and Supplements

LIVE LIFE NATURALLY

Energy and Supplements

So many of us struggle with lack of energy to get through our day, week, month. Sometimes it seems endless. I've seen some substantial changes in the past year and have come to learn more about how to listen to and take care of my body. Many of you know I became pescatarian a couple years ago. I eat a mostly vegetarian diet and sometimes seafood. About a year ago I noticed my hair was loosing it's curl, was dry and lifeless. Now, I eat pretty healthy but I new something wasn't right.

Then I was introduced to a new nutritional supplement that really did A LOT for me. My curl came back and the dryness went away. My joints felt better and I even began running on the treadmill. Something I hadn't done in years.  The main thing I realized, is not all supplements are created equal.
See, I had been taking a daily vitamin and glucosamine and chondroitin but I still was not feeling effected until I changed to this new brand. It was more expensive but so worth it.

Why do we need supplements? What I've read is that our food today, organic or not, doesn't always have the same nutrients that it used to, so we should be adding the nutrients that our bodies need. Especially if you are working out on a regular basis.

A few weeks ago I began using the doTerra Vitality Pack. I was curious to try them because it is doTerra's number one seller. This consists of Alpha CRS+ which is for Cellular Vitality, xEO MEGA, an essential oil omega complex and Micro PLEX VMz which is a food supplement.  Though I really did like the other nutritional supplement I was taking I wanted to experiment.

I had noticed a small spot on my head that was loosing hair and my gut said it had to do with nutrition. I had run out of my other brand so I made the switch to see what would happen. I am happy to report after about three weeks the hair in that area is growing in!  I am by no means a nutritionist, doctor, or anything of the like, just sharing my growth so others may learn to listen to their bodies.

Natural Energy Boosters

I was talking recently with my beautiful niece Cindy and she told me how she uses Lime essential oil for energy. When she needs a pick-me-up she puts a couple drops under her tongue. I had not thought of this and loved the idea. Lime oil has antiseptic  properties so it can help cure and prevent infection. Being an astringent is can help cure a toothache and even diarrhea. Lime oil positively affects mood and internally cleanses. So much good from this yummy oil. So, I decided to look into few other natural energy boosting ideas.
- Sleep, yes this is obvious but it's amazing how many people I talk to that do not get a good nights sleep. 7-9 hours is recommended!
- Daily Exercise. We should all be doing some form of this daily. Though you don't feel like it, getting some form daily will boost your energy levels.
- Stretch and Breathe. Full deep breathes that raise your belly will help get your blood flowing.
- Vegetable juice! Though home made is recommended so you do not have the added sugar and preservatives. Those will take you back down.
- Chia seeds. Aztec and Mayan warriors used them to keep up their energy during war.
- Stay hydrated!!! Drink your water!!!
- Other essential oils for energy, Frankincense, Peppermint, Rosemary, Wild Orange, Citrus Bliss, Elevation.

Wild Orange Power Bites

Ingredients:
1 cup finely shredded coconut, divided
1 cup almond butter
1 cup dried cranberries
1/2 cup raw honey
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons chia seeds
3 drops doTERRA Wild Orange essential oil
Directions:
  1. Place all ingredients into mixer except for half cup shredded coconut.
  2. Add essential oil.
  3. Mix until well combined.
  4. Roll into balls and coat in the other half cup of shredded coconut.
  5. Store in the refrigerator and eat when you need an extra boost of energy.

Elaine

Calm and Cool: The Art of De-Stressing

LIVE LIFE NATURALLY

Calm and Cool: The Art of De-stressing

Many of you know I have become all about removing stress from my life however possible. In our daily lives we are inundated with stress from so many angles. We need to remember to take care of ourselves AND take time for ourselves. Too often I hear "I don't have time for that" or I wish I had time to do that".  What I have come to find is you have to MAKE time for yourself. A good way to start is by getting an organizer and scheduling your time out by the week. Set aside some time, ideally Sunday. Start by putting in time with your spouse and/or kids, your work schedule, kids activities, when you will work out.  Then fill in chores, grocery shopping, etc. If you haven't done this before it can be intimidating, but don't let it. Writing it down can actually become calming as you know where your time is being spent THEN you can schedule in YOUR time. Time for a hot bath, meditation or just to sit and read.  A planner doesn't need to cost a lot. You can print one out or just use your phone.  The point is to plan time for yourself so you can relax and enjoy life, instead of rushing through each day not knowing where your time went.

doTERRA's BALANCE is one of my favorite essential oil blends. It helps create a sense of clam and well-being, ease anxious feelings and provides a grounding, balancing effect on emotions. Some of the ingredients include Frankincense, Blue Tansy, Spruce, Ho Wood and Blue Chamomile. I use this as my perfume and carry a bottle in my purse placing it on my temples, neck under my ears and my wrists.  After I put it on my wrist and rub them together I take several deep breaths and immediately feel happy!

Smooth Soft Skin

I ventured into making my own sugar scrub last month as a gift for my sisters birthdays. I chose a vanilla and spice mix that I thought appropriate for the winter. I had a some left over that my daughter quickly moved to her bathroom to use. The feedback was all positive. I plan to try some different scents with lemon or other citrus soon.

1/2 cup Brown Sugar
1/2 cup White Sugar
1/2 sup Coconut Oil (mine was organic)
2 tsp Vanilla
1/2 tsp Cinnamon
1/2 tsp Nutmeg
1/2 tsp Ground Ginger
2 drops Clove Essential Oil

Mix all ingredients together and put in your favorite jar!

Detox Bath

I love a hot bath in the winter. I found a recipe on Pinterest about how to use a bath to detox. I have tried it and found it really relaxing and I felt amazing after and through the next day.  I ran my bath hot. Use your own judgment as how hot you prefer. The benefits are many. Flushes toxins, reduces stress, improves sleep, relieves sore muscles and headaches, improves muscle function and helps treat colds, flu and other sickness. Soak for at least 30 minutes. Be careful getting up as you may be light headed. Rinse off, preferably in a cool shower.

2 cups Epsom salts
1 cup baking soda
1 tbs ground ginger ( I just sprinkled some in the water.)
5-10 drops Lavender Essential Oil

Other popular ingredients you can use are essential oils of choice, green tea, apple cider vinegar, sea salt, nut milk (coconut, almond, etc.)

Meditation

Meditation can be defined as a practice where an individual focuses his or her mind on a particular object, thought or activity to achieve a mentally clear and emotionally calm state. Wikipedia

Most of you know that I am a huge proponent of meditation. I discovered this practice about six years ago and I'm not even sure how to put into words how it has helped me. If you have not tried it I would wholeheartedly encourage you to begin. There are many ways to start. I personally started with guided meditations on YOUTUBE. Short ones around ten minutes or so. I tried many. If it didn't resonate with me I would move to another one until I found one I liked. The different instructions helped me define how I meditate today and that is also constantly changing depending on the day, how long I have and how I feel.

Sometimes mid day I need to reconnect with myself so I turn the volume off around me, sit up straight in my chair, hands placed in my lap and I concentrate on my breath breathing in and out deeply. As I breath in, I imagine energy pulling from the earth, through my body and up into the cosmos. Then as I exhale I imagine energy from the cosmos coming down through my body and grounding me back with the earth. A few minutes of this and I am ready to get back to work with a clear mind.

You can listen to music or not listen to music. You may lay down, sit up straight in a chair or sit with your legs crossed. You may meditate in the morning, afternoon or evening. It is recommended to start your day with meditation. You decide what's best for you and that can change from time to time or daily.

Things to remember when you start. Your mind will wonder, that's okay, it happens to everyone. As it does, bring it back to your breath. You will likely fall asleep at times. Everyone does and I still do at times. There is no right way to meditate, just YOUR WAY.  There are times I have a hard time as I feel my mind is going a hundred miles an hour and other times I ease into my breath immediately. Just make it your own and enjoy.

Benefits of meditation: Lower blood pressure, improves blood circulation, lowers heart rate, relives anxiety, lowers cortisol levels, less stress and deeper relaxation.

I have much more to share and will revisit the art of de-stressing in the future. If you have questions or suggestions please give me a call.

Love and Light,

Elaine

LIVE LIFE NATURALLY

Happy New Year and Welcome 2018!!! Going into the New Year many make resolutions, though many of those are broken by February.  One thing you should do though, is write down your goals! There are many reasons to do this, one of which is clarity. If you don't have a plan, you don't know how you will reach your target. Many of you may have heard of the Harvard study on a graduating class. The graduates were asked if they had goals. 3% had written goals, 13% had goals but only in their head and 84% did not have any goals. Interviewed again ten years later, the 3% who had written goals were earning an average of 10 times as much as the other 97 percent of the class COMBINED. That is how powerful written goals can be.

You should have goals for all aspects of life. . Your goals should be specific, measurable , attainable, realistic and have a timeframe attached.  (SMART ) You should also break them down and have a three-step (or how many steps you need) plan on how you will achieve them.  And remember, you should state your goals in a positive statement.

Happy Goal Setting.......

We were invited New Years Day to our lovely friends Sandi and Dan's. It was a fun evening filled with friendship and love. I brought desert. I had some fruit in the refrigerator that I really wanted to use so I whipped up this recipe. It was Vegan friendly and gluten free! I kind of winged it so the amounts below are rough estimates. You can really use any mixture of fruit you have on hand and it was yummy if I do say so myself.

4 small golden delicious apples
8 oz blueberries
16 oz strawberries
1 tbs lemon juice

1 1/2 cups rolled oats (I used organic gluten free oats)
1 tbs Cornstarch (I used gluten free)
1/3 cup organic Coconut sugar (You could also substitute brown sugar)
1 tsp ground Cinnamon
1/4 tsp Clove
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup Organic Coconut sugar (You could use regular or any substitute you want)
1/2 cup chopped Pecans and Almonds (You can use what you have or omit if you don't want)
1/2 cup cold Vegan butter (You can substitute real butter.)

Heat your oven to 350 F. Mix oats, nuts, 1/3 cup Coconut sugar, clove, cinnamon, salt then mix in cold Vegan butter. Blend until combined, set aside.

In a pot combine apples, blueberries and strawberries. Add lemon juice until coated.  Turn on to medium heat then add cornstarch and 1/2 cup Coconut sugar. Stir gently until blueberries start to burst open and a sauce thickens. About ten minutes.  I also added a sprinkle of cinnamon, two drops of doTerra Clove oil and a little salt to the fruit to help flavor it a bit more.

Pour mixture into 8x8 dish. I sprayed mine with an olive oil spray.  Sprinkle topping evenly over fruit mixture. Bake uncovered about 20-25 minutes.

My newest book I'm reading is called The Emotion Code. This book is written by Dr. Bradley Nelson and discusses how many ailments in our bodies are caused by emotional blocks we have. Some blocks are from when we were young and other created recently. He talks about removing the blocks and how doing so has helped cure people in many different ways. Quantum Physics has been around for over a hundred years, yet scientists are still discovering how our bodies energy has amazing affects on ourselves and the outside world.
I'm just about four chapters in but finding it very interesting. The link below is for your free copy to either download to read or listen to. You can also order on Amazon and pay for a hard copy but free is always fun! I would enjoy a discussion group about this so please reach out to me if you decide to read the book.

Wishing you all a healthy and prosperous 2018!!!

Be Flexible This Holiday Season...

LIVE LIFE NATURALLY

I was compelled to share a verse from the Tao Te Ching as translated in Dr. Wayne Dyers book "Change Your Thoughts, Change Your Life".  I have this book on CD and love it! It is meant to listen to one verse at a time then put that verse into practice. Some verses resonated more with me. This one is of my favorites. In this book Dr. Dyer reviews all 81 verses in the Tao Te Ching. Originally written somewhere between 605BC - 531 BC by Lao-tzu.   The 76th verse is as follows;

When a man is alive, he is soft and supple,
When he dies, the body become hard and stiff.
When a plant is alive, it is soft and flexible.
When it is dead, it becomes dry and brittle.
Therefore, hard and rigid shall lead to death.
Soft and gentle shall lead to life.
Thus, a strong army with rigid force shall not win.
A thick and big tree will be cut down for its use.
The big and strong will take an inferior position.
The soft and gentle will take superior position.

As Dr. Dyer translates, Staying loose is part of living in the present moment. You may have been taught that strength is measured by how hard you are in your thinking, opinions and weakness is associated with those that bend and are flexible.  If you really think about it those that bend and adapt to what life throws at them tend to be those that live longer, happier lives. I notice this as I focus on everyday life. I listen and feel how my body physically reacts to things. If I feel tightened up I realize that is not the right thought, or direction I should go in. And when I am relaxed and at ease, I know that is what I should be doing.

I bring this up as we go through this holiday season. Though we all tend to love the holidays they can also be stressful. So listen to your body and go with what FEELS good.

DIY Lip Balm

So this week I finally made my own lip balm. Not sure why I put it off so long. It was easy and I am really happy with the results. I'm leaving the recipe below. I did purchase some tin containers off Amazon. I'll leave the link below. I also refilled one of my previous lip balm tubes which I really like.

2 teaspoons of organic beeswax (I ordered off Amazon)

1.5 teaspoons of organic coconut oil (Trader Joes)

1.5 teaspoons of organic Jojoba oil ( I ordered off Amazon)

1 teaspoon of unrefined Shea butter (I ordered off Amazon)

4 teaspoons of organic olive oil (Trader Joes)

15 drops of you favorite essential oil ( will try more next round for of a flavor)

I used doTerra Citrus Bliss

Melt all ingredients in a double broiler. You can use a metal bowl and small pan of water like I did.

Whisk until melted. Be careful to not over heat.

Pour into your containers. Allow to cool, then place cap on.

Morning Dose of Lemon

My sister Stephanie gave me this idea. She drinks this everyday and a few weeks ago, when I had a bit of a cold I started drinking a cup in the morning. It's easy and quite addictive.  Buying local organic honey is your best option. I purchased some Meyers lemons from Trader Joes but you can use any lemon. And I used cinnamon from my cupboard. I'm going to experiment with doTerra cinnamon oil and potentially lemon oil.  ENJOY!

1 cup of hot water
Juice of 1 lemon
Cinnamon
Honey

Here are a few reasons this is so good for you to start your day with.

1. Tastes delicious
2. Helps flush your digestive system and rehydrate the body.
3. Cleanses your system. Because lemon is a diuretic is flushes your system through increase of urination and releases toxins.
4. Boosts your immune system. Lemons are high in vitamin C and potassium. Has anti-inflammatory effects which helps support respiratory systems and helps with iron absorption.
5. Mood Enhancer and Energizes you. Lemon (as most citruses) is known to uplift your mood which provides you with more energy.
6. Balances pH levels. Lemons are one of the most alkalizing foods for the body. Though acidic on their own, once inside our body they alkaline. This helps lower chances of candida.
7. Clears Skin. Being high in vitamin C and anti-oxidants helps to combat free radicals which decrease wrinkles and blemishes.
8. Promotes Healing. The absorbic acid helps promote would healing.
9. Freshens Breath.
10. Aids in Weight Loss. Lemons are high in fiber which helps fight hunger cravings and because lemons help flush toxins and move food through your body and gastrointestinal tract smoothly.
